This toothpaste formula is based on a “stabilized” Aloe Vera base (using antioxidants and very little preservatives). The basic Aloe Vera formula was developed through a research grant at Baylor College of Dentistry. There is no fluoride, sugar, nor any sodium lauryl sulfate in this Ph balanced product. In addition, enzymes are incorporated into this formula to metabolize loose food debris and to help fight dental plaque, the primary cause of dental disease.
To understand why fluoride is not included in this formulation, do this… If you have a toothpaste at home, which has fluoride in it, look on the backside label, and notice that the label states something like this: “NOT FOR USE BY CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 6 YEARS OLD. IF SWALLOWED, REPORT TO A POISON CONTROL CENTER.”
